RunKeeper For Pebble

Pebble has been at most, an interesting device to me.  Nothing more than a  fancy watch.  A fancy watch that I couldn't justify.   I gave up wearing watches several years back.  Today, Pebble announced a partnership with RunKeeper.

I've always loved RunKeeper for keeping track of jogging.  But my biggest gripe, was having to start and stop a run using my phone, which was in a holder on the side of my arm.  My second gripe was that it was hard to see my progress and information while I am running.  RunKeeper does offer audio cues, but they wore on me rather quickly.

RunKeeper and Pebble are a perfect match.  According to the press release you will be able to start and stop a run from the watch and track current progress and other metrics.  This may be enough to make me consider purchasing the Pebble.

Anti-Slip and Anti-Vibration Feet

Recently I purchased a Mac Mini , this was my first desktop Mac.  While I was waiting for the Mini to arrive I went ahead and ordered a few accessories as well.

Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard

Magic Trackpad

Thunderbolt to VGA video adapter cable

I thought this was a fairly decent deal.  I already had a large LCD monitor and an external drive to use for backups.  Previously, I had never seen a Mac Mini, I didn't realize how small they truly were.  The Mini was a nice fit on my desk and didn't take up near the space the Dell tower did.  However - I quickly found one problem.  The Mini has a bare raised plastic bottom.  I have a glass top desk.  The two do not go well together.  The Mini likes to slide around on the glass top desk.  For a while I put up with it.  But with the cables hanging off the back of the Mini, I always fear it is going to slide off the back of the desk. After searching, I finally settled on these:  Acousti Products AcoustiFeet Soft Silicone Anti-Vibration Feet

They seem to be working rather well.  They raise the Mini up a little which should help some with air flow, and most importantly they keep it from sliding around.
